Tyrannus kbc EM Pastor Position
Tyrannus Korean Baptist Church (Arlington Heights, IL) is welcoming an English Ministry Pastor to join them at either a full-time or part-time capacity.
Tyrannus Korean Baptist Church is an SBC (Southern Baptist Convention) church located in Arlington Heights, IL, a northwest suburb of Chicago. We are a church that worships God and proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a small and warm church that welcomes all people with the love of Christ.
Our goal is to be a church that:
Your responsibilities will include:
1) Displays godly character and humble posture.
2) Aspires to the office of pastor and has been a Christian for at least 5 years.
3) Lives in the Chicagoland area or willing and able to relocate temporarily.

- worships God in Spirit and truth
- proclaims the Word of God
- grows together toward maturity in love and fellowship, and
- makes disciples of all nations by teaching Jesus’ commands and baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preaching and Teaching: Preach and explain God’s Word at least once a week on Sundays.
- Worship Leadership: Lead the congregation in meaningful biblical worship, including leading the ordinances of communion and baptism.
- Spiritual Guidance: Provide pastoral care, counseling and support to individuals in times of need, celebration and crisis. Provide leadership to ministry leaders and members.
- Discipleship: Develop avenues to promote spiritual growth, biblical understanding as well as execute church discipline when needed.
- Evangelism: Develop and participate in evangelism opportunities that reflect the values of God’s grace and truth.
- Vision Casting: Collaborate with church leadership and members to develop and communicate a clear vision for the future of the church.
- Administration: Manage church operations, including budget oversight and effective communication between the English Ministry and the Korean Ministry.
